Warner Bros. is making a live-action Jonny Quest movie!Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter will produce the live-action adaptation of the popular 1960s animated TV series from Hanna-Barbera, with Dan Mazeau penning the script. They are hoping to turn the property into a family-friendly adventure franchise.

I guess DC has gotten a taste for the animated direct-to-DVD market. Shortly after the release of Superman Doomsday they will also be releaseing a Justice League animated direct-to-DVD movie in the sping of 2008. This one will be an adaptation of the popular DC Comics storyline DC: The New Frontier. The film is written by Justice League writer Stan Berkowitz, with Darwyn Cooke serving as story and visual consultant. The film is the second in a line of three releases by Warner Bros. Animation , the others being Superman: Doomsday, and Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.

According to collider.com “Happy Feet” director George Miller is considering directing Warner Brother’s live-action Justice League of America movie.

Frank Miller has signed Gabriel Macht to star in The Spirit, the Miller-scripted adaptation of the classic Eisner comic book series.Macht will play the main character, a man who fakes his own death so he can battle crime from the shadows of Central City.

Today Arcana Studio announced that Gearhead has been optioned by Darius Films to be made into a motion picture. So big kudos go out to Kevin Mellon and Dennis Hopeless; the series creators for a job well done. Variety is reporting that John Leguizamo has been cast in the new M. Night Shyamalan thriller “The Happening.”

The movie starts filming next month in Philadelphia and is scheduled for worldwide release June 13, 2008.

“The Happening” also stars Mark Wahlberg as a man who takes his family on the run when a natural disaster threatens to end the world. Leguizamo will play his best friend in the movie.

Fox News in Chicago has posted footage of The Dark Knight shooting on Lower Wacker Drive.  They have posted three videos. Two of the videos show the Joker; in one of them you can see him being filmed as he skates around. Go ahead and take a look at the videos here.
