Warner Bros. is making a live-action Jonny Quest movie!Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter will produce the live-action adaptation of the popular 1960s animated TV series from Hanna-Barbera, with Dan Mazeau penning the script. They are hoping to turn the property into a family-friendly adventure franchise.

Johnny Quest now owned by Warner Bros. Animation, also been spun off as a comic book from DC. It aired during primetime on ABC in 1964 lasting only one season. It has been revamped and updated twice in the late ’80s and ’90s and was aired on the Cartoon Network.

Warner Bros. execs Dan Lin and Matt Reilly will oversee “Jonny Quest” at the studio; the same studio is also filming another live-action version of an iconic ’60s TV series, “Speed Racer.”
Askarieh and Alter also have the videogame-based “Hitman” movie in the can for an October 12, 2007 release from Fox studios.
