In an email received today by the folks at Latino review Brian Goldner, Hasbro COO gave some details on the G.I. Joe live action movie. Mr. Goldner, who is also the executive producer of the movie, had this to say:

We are working to develop a movie script that delivers a contemporary GI JOE vs. COBRA story, inspired by the comic books. We do not yet have one. Hopefully soon.

Currently IMDB has a G.I Joe movie listed for a 2010 release but not much else. There have also been rumors that Mark Whalberg might be playing the part of Duke. So let’s keep our eyes peeled and see what other details pop up about this one. I am sure with the success of the Transformers movie this one will probably be rushed forward into production.
