Ghost Rider Video Game

February 6th, 2007 by Rene

The Spirit of Vengeance will get his own video game for the PS2, PSP and GBA on February 13 three days before his feature film debut. It’s developed by Climax (Sudeki) and published by Take 2.

Ghost Rider

The game’s storyline picks up where the movie leaves off and is written by comic writers Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti. The game will take players through a number of different locations, including the Quentin Carnival, Caretaker’s Graveyard, and the skyscraper that links Earth to the depths of Hell.

The game features a combo-heavy combat system that lets you employ Ghost Rider’s Penance Stare, hellfire chain and hellfire shotgun to take down your enemies. When you’re not in hand-to-hand mode you can climb on your hog from hell (the Hell Cycle) for some fierce motorcycle game play. You can use the bike’s powers to ride on water, boost over jumps, mow down obstacles and take down the bad guys.

Ghost Rider

The game also Features an upgrade system like the one in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, which allows you to power up and improve the Hell Cycle and Hellfire Chain. It also allows Ghost Rider to gain new moves and increase his stats using the essence of defeated enemies. This includes classic Marvel villains throughout the game.

Ghost Rider

There also numerous extra features and additions including artwork, bonus characters, interviews and more that you will be able to unlock. The PSP version will feature new game play modes, including Wi-Fi multiplayer and motorcycle death match for up to 4 players.

Check out the game here and get ready to ride out with the Ghost Rider.
